Blood Stasis and Type 2 Diabetes

This class will teach students about the role of blood stasis in pathology relating to metabolic illness such as type 2 diabetes in which there is often hypertension, high cholesterol, insomnia and obesity. Sharon will discuss how it is that blood stasis and poor blood quality can account for many of the signs and symptoms of these illnesses. More importantly she will help viewers learn how to evaluate the quality of the blood and improve it. 2 case studies will be presented in which a treatment methodology focusing on blood quickly brought down the patients' insulin use and blood pressure readings while improving many other signs and symptoms.

Bio:
Sharon Weizenbaum has been practicing Chinese medicine for 30 years. Her long clinical experience combines with her history of having studied gynecology in Hang Zhou and classic formulas in Nanjing to help her offer a very rich learning experience for students. She brings her own thoughtful insight built from many years of careful observation in the clinic. In addition to teaching world wide, she is the director of White Pine Institute and the teacher of the Graduate Mentorship Program.
