Al Stone’s years in traditional Chinese medicine is the natural extension of his life-long love of Asian philosophies. He was among the first to see the benefits of the internet and created "acupuncture.com" in early 1995. He maintains his online presence at http://gancao.net. He is an engaging speaker who balances deep lecture content with clarity, humor, and insight. Dr. Stone has focused on exploring the depth of TCM in his own practice and is an enthusiastic proponent of explaining the "why" (mechanisms) when teaching. Dr. Stone is the co-author of "The TCM Diagnosis Study Guide" (Eastland Press, 2008) which is on the NCCAOM list of recommended resources for the OM, acupuncture and herb exams.
